esports were never a thing tbh. anyway, i need good pvp. armored core 6 is dead, halo is dead, quake is dead, gunz the duel still not on steam. elden ring? kek. battle royale is a great format fortnite is literally the best game ever but pubg is better in terms of pvp, i've never played tf2. valveslop and chinkslop just doesn't even seem like an option.
what happened to pvp gaming?
for me I miss custom servers, everything is so locked onto rails, there's no de_rats, iceworld, etc, those were fun, the mic spam, the custom sprays, peak gaming
I wouldn't mind trying another boomer shooter out sometime, getting tired of splitgate2 map rotation and mechanics (and it's also pretty dead)

What do you all think defines a healthy PvP meta? Should everything be equally balanced and then left alone, or should there be periodic buffs/nerfs to certain factors to keep the game state fresh overtime?
