So, is the future really going to be nothing but indiegames on PC? Does any company still make real games?
Time is a flat circle after all. The early days of video gaming were full of indie slop until companies like Nintendo started putting bangers together. I think this period of slower game development will really hit the AAA companies. It already looks like EA might be going out of business soon. Consoles also have a hard time justifying their existence when capable gaming PCs are coming down in price. Even something like a Steam Deck can play some impressive games at $400. Indie games are keeping up with what people are demanding much better than the big studios so I'm sure someone will want to get that money

Indies have been the only ones moving gaming forward since at least the early 2010s, everything else (read AAA shit) is stuck in a timeloop of making the same things over and over but worse and more predatory to squeeze every buck out, we need another videogame crash
all triple a started as indie, it will just go full circle again
the topic of console vs pc is resolved, no more consoles - theyre completely obsolete in regards to pc in cost and in quality of hardware
